By clicking I Agree and submitting a listing, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before listing your garage sale.
1. Ontario, Canada Only
Garage Sale Finder is exclusively for garage, yard, and estate sales taking place in Ontario, Canada. Listings for sales outside Ontario will not be displayed and may be removed without notice. By submitting a listing, you confirm your sale is physically located in Ontario.
2. Accuracy of Your Listing
You confirm that all information in your listing is accurate — including the address, date, start and end times, and description of items for sale. The Special Instructions field is intended for parking notes, entry instructions, or rain date information only — not for listing additional items for sale. Misleading, inaccurate, or inappropriate listings may be removed at our discretion without refund.
3. Listing Tiers & What You Are Purchasing
When you select a tier, you are purchasing a single listing for a single garage sale event. The following summarises what each tier includes:

*Digest inclusions are not guaranteed. The number of times your listing appears in the weekly Friday digest depends on when your listing is submitted relative to the send date. A listing submitted after Friday’s digest has already been sent will appear in subsequent digests until it expires.
**The Tier 4 Weekly Spotlight Digest is distributed every Friday to all Ontario subscribers, regardless of their location.
†Tier 2 is currently free during our soft launch period. The regular price of $10 per listing will apply once the promotional period ends.

4. Payments & Refunds
Listing fees for Tiers 2, 3, and 4 are charged per listing and are non-refundable once payment is processed, regardless of the number of digest appearances your listing receives, or whether the sale is cancelled, rained out, or ends early. By completing payment you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
5. Active Listing Limits
Each email address is limited to 1 active listing (Tier 1) or 3 active listings (Tiers 2, 3, and 4) at any time. A listing is considered active from the time it is verified until midnight on the sale date. Multi-day sales require a separate listing for each day; Tier 1 supports single-day listings only.
6. Automatic Expiry
All listings are automatically removed at midnight on your sale date. Listing data including photos is not retained after expiry. There are no refunds for listings that expire before reaching their maximum potential digest inclusions.
7. Rain Dates & Multi-Day Sales
If your sale has a rain date, you may note this in the Special Instructions field of your listing. Multi-day sales may be listed by submitting a separate listing for each day of the sale. Tier 2 or higher is required to hold more than one active listing per email address at the same time.
8. Estate & Third-Party Sales
If you are submitting a listing on behalf of a property owner, estate, or third party, you confirm that you have their permission to publicly advertise the sale address and that all listing information is accurate and authorised.
9. Your Email & CASL Compliance
Your email address is used to verify your listing and send transactional confirmations. In accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), any marketing communications — including the weekly digest and nearby sale alerts — require your separate, express consent via the opt-in checkboxes on the listing form. You may withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. We will never sell or share your email address.
10. Photos
Photos uploaded to your listing must be your own original photographs. Do not upload images you do not own or have permission to use. Uploaded photos are publicly visible and are permanently deleted along with your listing at expiry.
11. Limitation of Liability
Garage Sale Finder is a listing platform only. We are not responsible for the conduct of buyers or sellers, the accuracy of any listing, items sold, injury, loss, or any transactions arising from a listing. Use this service at your own risk.
12. Removal of Listings
We reserve the right to remove any listing at our sole discretion, including listings that are inaccurate, offensive, spam, or otherwise inappropriate, with or without notice and without refund. Repeat violations may result in your email address being blocked from the service.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the current terms. The date at the top of this page reflects when these terms were last updated.
